St. Joseph Church of Gardner is celebrating its 100th anniversary
this year. This Catholic Church, serving the Polish people in this
community, was founded in 1908. Although English is the language used
today, in the past Polish was used in prayers, sermons and hymns.
The exhibit celebrating this parish will focus on the people who made
up this community of faith. There will be many pictures of children
in First Communion classes. There will also be pictures and booklets
from the various celebrations at the church through the years.
